Art Of War Wrestling Philippines

(2017-2019)

AOWW Heavyweight Champion: Bryan Leo.

 

Art Of War Wrestling was an independent promotion in the Philippines.  Its beginning was in Taguig in May 2017.  According to several sources, the promotion is a mix of Japanese, European and American style wrestling.

 

Chilly Willy (William Jones) would become the head trainer for the company.  He wrestled for ECW as well as WWE and an independent promotion.

 

Starting from nearly scratch, training and building up a roster, AOWW would have its first show nearly a year later. 

 

On March 17, 2018, AOWW would have it's first and only show, AOWW Genesis.  The event was held at the Valkyrie Nightclub in Taguig, Philippines.  There would be six exciting matches that day.  The Main Event had "Classical" Bryan Leo defeating Nuke for the inaugural AOWW Heavyweight Title.

 

After the show, there would be continued growth in the promotion.  It was announced that in July 2018, there would be the first ever pro wrestling academy in the Philippines.  That would bring out some recruitment.  

 

Unfortunately, in 2019, Art Of War Wrestling became inactive.
