A Year To Remember For WWE

Today is a different post than what this blogger normally does, which is Southeast Asia Pro Wrestling.

 

Want to talk about WWE for a moment.  This year, the WWE has done PLE shows in more countries than ever before.  This is really no accident since the company wants to be more global than ever.

 

This past weekend, WWE and NXT took the show to Toronto, Ontario (Canada) to sellout indoor crowds of near 20,000.  The Scotiabank Arena was the place to be this past weekend.

 

Next weekend, WWE will do two shows on the south side of America.  Mexico's - Mexico City and Monterrey will have two Super Show events on Saturday / Sunday, July 13-14.  The promotion was in Mexico last year before sellout crowds and it appears that WWE is at a fever pitch this time!

 

Since I do posts on Southeast Asia wrestling, recently, I've thought about sending WWE an e-mail regarding an Asia and Australia tour.  European tours are good and the fans in Scotland, England and Germany have responded big time!

 

Having a show in Australia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, China and Malaysia would be great, not only for the wrestling fans of the countries mentioned, but the promotions themselves.

 

Let me draft a letter or e-mail and see what can be done here.....      

New Taiwan Wrestling: Road Of The King Results

Here are the results from New Taiwan Wrestling's show, Road Of The King.  Congratulations on the 12th anniversary contest.  The event took place on Saturday, December 30th at the Zhongguang Dojo.

 

Alex Cool d. Hiroki.

Butch d. Karas.

War Bear d. Axe Wang.

The Joker and Ghost Wolf d. Black Ho and Ghost Fight and remains the NTW Generation Doubles King Champions.

Sky d. Lucifer and remains the NTW Undifferentiated Singles King Champion.

 

New Taiwan Wrestling's next show will take place on Saturday, January 20th.  More on the show soon!

New Taiwan Wrestling's Next Show

New Taiwan Wrestling's next show will take place on Saturday, November 18th beginning at 2pm with the doors opening at 1:30pm.  The venue is  Zhongguang Dojo :No. 20, Lane 20, Sec. 1, Xingren Road, Zhongli District, Taoyuan City (5 mins walk from Neiang Railway Station).

 

On this day, New Taiwan Wrestling in cooperation with Middle Kingdom Wrestling will have a well known wrestler in Zombie Dragon appear at the show.

New Taiwan Wrestling

New Taiwan Wrestling was founded in 2011.

 

Their first show took place on November 26, 2011 with the event, NTW New Generation per Cagematch.  The event took place at the Haiten Budokan in Taipei, Taiwan.

 

Their latest show was on September 30, 2023 with the event, NTW Battle Of New Taiwan.  It was an online stream at Zhongli Dojo in Taoyuan, Taiwan.

 

The promotion has three titles per the summary.  They are the NTW Openweight, NTW Tag Team and NTW Newcomer Titles.

 

Recently, New Taiwan Wrestling and Middle Kingdom Wrestling have agreed to a partnership.  More details will be coming.
