Christian And Jordan

Jordan (L) and Christian at Grapplemax's show, Settle Outside in May.

Writing posts on a blog has some challenges.  You never want to slight anyone.  Doing one about Southeast Asia pro wrestling has more challenges. Since I don't live in a country in the region, one depends on tools.  They are the internet, social media, You Tube and whatever streaming one can find.

This blogger has wanted to do this for awhile.  It was making certain that he had enough data to do it.  Today, this blogger wants to share two young pro wrestlers with Grapplemax in Singapore in Christian and Jordan.

A couple of weeks ago, this blogger did one on Simon Siah that was well received.  I wanted to make sure that there were more on the way.  Christian and Jordan were next.  In the future, Aussie Aussie Aussie and several more wrestlers with Grapplemax will be shared on this blog.

The first time seeing both Christian and Jordan on video, and the same show, was in December 2022 in a show known as Gold Standard - The Final.  Christian would defeat a tough wrestler in Showtime, the champion, to win the Wrestle Square Cruiserweight Championship.  Jordan, and his tag team partner, Simon Siah defeated Ban and DJ Kai in a solid tag team match in the same show.

According to Cagematch, a database that provides wrestling results worldwide, the last time the two wrestlers appeared on the same show was back in February 2020 before the pandemic at an event called Fighting Spirit.

In February 2023, the two wrestlers teamed up in an event called Causeway Jam.  It was a show that would have wrestlers from Grapplemax and Malaysia Pro Wrestling.  Emman Azman and JAGO from MYPW would face Christian and Jordan in a tag team match.

There were a couple of times during the match when Christian and Jordan didn't appear to be on the same page.  This can happen anytime with any tag team.  However, after the match, there would be a disagreement between the two.

It would lead to two matches for the Wrestle Square Cruiserweight Championship over the next several months.  The first one match happened at Settle Outside in May in which Christian retained the title.

The second match was a three way with Christian, Jordan and Simon Siah in which Jordan pinned Christian to win the belt.  The event was called Rolling and it happened in August.

Jordan, now the Wrestle Square Cruiserweight Champion has defended the title once, against Jullian at House Party.  His biggest challenge to date will come up this coming November 11th at Grapplemax's Seventh Anniversary show.  His opponent will be legendary Japanese wrestler, Dick Togo.

The last time seeing Togo in the ring was, I believe, in September at a New Japan Pro Wrestling event called Road To Destruction as a member of House Of Torture.  EVIL, SHO and Yujiro Takahashi are a part of this group.

Christian has done well since losing the title.  In the recent Amplify show, he teamed with Sarah to defeat Ryan and Ban for the win.

Personally, I don't know exactly what led up to the first encounter at Settle Outside.  This fan has followed Grapplemax for several months now.

Certainly, one of the words to describe it would be competition and wanting a championship.  From someone who has followed pro wrestling for a long time, there is always this in every promotion.

Rivalries and disagreements will always occur.  The rivalry between Christian and Jordan is a good one and will grow over the next few years.  Both wrestlers are exciting to watch from this fan's view.  You can tell both of them have worked hard to get where they are at today.  Grapplemax is very fortunate to have both on the roster along with the many young stars that are competing for the fans in Singapore.

I would say that down the line, the two will see each other in the ring again.  This blogger and wrestling fans in Singapore cannot wait to see it.
