MWF Kasaysayan 2024 Results

 

Hello everyone!

Apologies for this post being late for various reasons.  However, here are the results from the MWF Kasaysayan 2024 show and Meet and Greet.  The event took place on Sunday, April 14th at the UP Film Institute Media Center, UP Dillman.

 

The event featured wrestlers from Kyushu Pro Wrestling Japan and the Manila Wrestling Federation.  Thank you to both promotions on an entertaining show.

Second PUSO Tournament Match Set

 

Hello everyone!

 

PUSO Wrestling will have their inaugural show, Unang Tibok, on Saturday, August 17th.  The venue is the Brawl Pit Bulusan beginning at 6pm. 

A second match for the Pusong Pinoy Wrestling Championship Tournament has just been announced.

 

Super P. will be facing Joey Rosas in a first round match.  The winner will go on to the second round in hopes of winning the inaugural title.  Yesterday, the first match was announced with Main Maxx taking on El Kapitunero.

MWF: Kasaysayan Show Update #4

Another match has been added to the MWF Kasaysayan show schedule for Sunday, April 14th at the UP Film Institute.

 

Oro Plata Mata's Dabid Ravena and Kurt Jiminez will take on the team of Batten X Burabura (Kyushi Pro Wrestling) and Joey Rosas (MWF).

 

This fan admittedly needs to know more about the stars from Kyushi Pro Wrestling.  Definitely, the promotion is bringing a good number of wrestlers over to the Philippines for the show.  For the kapafeds and pinoy wrestling fans who have never seen the group, this would be a great opportunity to see them live.

MWF 2023 Noche Buena Results

Happy New Year everyone!

 

Here are the results from Manila Wrestling Federations's 2023 Noche Buena.  The event was held on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at the PMC Spotlight Theater in Circuit Makati.

 

Grey Shirt d. Orange Shirt.

Ken Cifer and Saint John Martin d. Zera and Umezawa to win the World Underground Wrestling Tag Team Championship.

Isaiah Valencia d. CJ Serafin.

El Kapitunero d. Brother Benny.

Joey Rosas d. Michael Su and Bitman to win the Hong Kong-Philippine Alliance Cup.

Danger Rex Lawin d. Ho Ho Lun in the MWF Pinoy Wrestling Championship #1 Contender's Match.

The trial of Oppa KT and Tarek turned out as a guilty verdict for Tarek.

Aaron Liwanag d. Jomar Liwanag.

Super P. d. Chelsea Marie, Joya and Patricia Ligaia in a four way women's match.

Jake De Leon d. Main Maxx in the final two wrestler pairing to win the MWF Pinoy Wrestling Championship.  

The match began as an eight man tag team elimination match between the MWF All Stars (Fabio Makisig, Robin Sane, Nigel San Jose and Danny Zamora) versus Team Oro Plata Mata (Jake De Leon, Main Maxx, Dabid Ravena and Kurt Jiminez).  Also, team Oro Plata Mata will remain intact going into 2024.

MWF Todos Los Wrestling Resuts

Here are the results from Manila Wrestling Federation's show, Todos Los Wrestling.  It was held on Sunday, October 22nd at Mandala Park in Mandaluyong.

 

 

Fabio Makisig vs. Jake De Leon for the MWF Pinoy Wrestling Championship ended up as a no contest.

Joey Rosas won the Battle Royal and will represent the Philippines in the Phillipine-Hong Kong Cup at the 2023 Noche Buena show.

MWF: Hong Kong-Philippine Alliance Cup Match

On Sunday, December 3rd at Manila Wrestling Federation's Noche Buena, there will be a new event for the first time.

A three way match between Michael Su and Bitman from Hong Kong and Joey Rosas with MWF will take place at the PMC Spotlight Theater in one of the major matches on the show.  The Hong Kong-Philippine Alliance Cup will be awarded to the winner for the first time.

 

For Joey Rosas, this is definitely a great opportunity and his biggest match to date.  In August, after several months as Pink Shirt, he defeated Isaiah Valencia at the 2023 Road To Fate show to make the main roster.

Last month, at a seven man Battle Royal event at the Todos Los Wrestling show in Mandaluyong, he outlasted six other wrestlers and defeated the final wrestler, CJ Serafin to be MWF's representative.

 

Joey has continued to train hard since making the roster.  The message seen on social media is that he's taking this opportunity seriously.

 

For Michael Su and Bitman, both wrestlers have been in big matches before in Hong Kong and throughout Asia.  Both wrestlers were trained by Ho Ho Lun.  He will be wrestling in the December 3rd show and in a Number One Contender's match against Rex Lawin.

 

Both wrestlers are 30 years old with Bitman, I believe, a little taller in height but both well built. Bitman has wrestled a little bit longer.

 

Recently, Bitman wrestled in China and won the KOPW Title over Black Dragon in early November, no small feat.

 

Michael Su's last match was a three way match for the vacant AWGC Junior Heavyweight Title against Ricky Marvin and Mikey Man.  Marvin ended up winning the title in late October in Hong Kong.  

 

Some fans may believe that Joey might be over his head in this kind of match.  However, this fan looks at this a bit differently.  Three way matches in pro wrestling are always interesting.  Usually, it is with a title on the line.  This time, it is for the inaugural cup so the stakes are definitely higher.  Also, from watching the recent Battle Royal against six other competitors, Joey handled himself well winning on his own.

 

Bitman and Michael Su know each other well since they were trained by the same mentor.  They wrestled in an MWF ring before in 2019 at the MWF Republika event as a tag team.

 

Since this cup goes to one winner, it will be interesting how this turns out.

MWF: Noche Buena Update #3

Have an update on the Manila Wrestling Federation's show, Noche Buena scheduled for Sunday, December 3rd beginning at 4:30pm.

 

As of three hours ago, there were ONLY five ringside tickets left.  This means once they are gone, only General Admission tickets will be left.  This fan was told the last time in the PMC Spotlight Theater that the event holds 300 people for an MWF event.  

 

SO, if you plan on going, please secure your ticket as soon as possible!  There is no question that this Noche Buena will be the best wrestling show this year, and for that matter, possibly all time.

 

Now, since the last update, there have been two matches added.

 

First, the Hong Kong-Philippine Cup entrants have been set.  It will be Michael Su vs. Bitman vs. Joey Rosas in a three way match for the Cup.  I will share more about the competitors and the match in a future post.

 

The other added match will be El Kapitunero vs. Brother Benny in a singles match.  It has just been mentioned to this blogger that this will be Brother Benny's debut in the ring!
