APAC: Wrestlelegion Update

Here is the update of matches for APAC Wrestling's, Wrestlelegion show.  The event takes place this coming Saturday, July 20th beginning at 8pm.  The location is the Spacerubix, Puchong in Malaysia.

Luchadonna vs. Nor "Phoenix" Diana (C) for the APAC Women's Wrestling Championship.

Jake De Leon vs. Shaukat (C) for the Ambition Wrestling Global Championship.

A Look Back

Hello everyone!

 

This post either was deleted or the blogger never posted it.  In either case, my apologies that this happened.

 

In the middle with Ken Cifer (l) and Steve The Teacher (now AFAM Steve).  The Meet And Greet was a blast!   

 

Last year, on Monday, August 21, there was a wrestling show sponsored by Dexcon and WUW-Philippines.  The show featured wrestlers from World Underground Philippines, Manila Wrestling Federation, Singapore Pro Wrestling, APAC Wrestling (Malaysia) and a wrestler who formerly wrestled for Middle Kingdom Wrestling in China.

The day featured a Meet and Greet as well as a wrestling show at the Brawl Pit Bulusan.  There were five matches on the show.  Here are the results from memory....

Robin Sane d, Zera.

Ken Cifer d. Steve The Teacher.

Dabid Ravena d. Razael in a Hardcore Match.

Alexis Lee d. Poppy, Crystal and Chelsea Marie in, what turned out to be a four way for the SPW Queen Of Asia Championship.

Crystal, St. John Martin, The Machine and Ken Cifer d. Poppy, Jake De Leon, Dabid Ravena and Kojio Akumu.

 

Note: Alexis Lee was the special guest referee and did a superb job at it!

 

This fan had a blast at the show.  It was the first time visiting the Brawl Pit Bulusan in Quezon City.  Though a small venue, it was perfect for the show.   The adjoining restaurant, Onyang's Place serves good food and drinks.  This fan remembers the great quesadillas and what, I believe, was San Miguel Beer that was brought into the venue!

 

It is nearly a year since this has happened.  How time flies! 

Filipino Pro Wrestling: Unfinished Business

MYPW: Fight Back Show Update #3

Hello everyone!

 

Malaysia Pro Wrestling's show, Fight Back, will take place on Saturday, August 3rd at 6pm.  The venue is the KuAsh Theater TTDI.

It was announced in the past few days that Kazul will return and be in action.

Also, the return of the Journey To Gold Tournament will take place.  Eight wrestlers will battle it out in elimination style matches (seven).  The winner of the tournament will get an opportunity to face The Wonderboy at some point for the championship.

First PUSO Tournament Match Set

Hello everyone!

 

The first match in PUSO Wrestling's Pusong Pinoy Wrestling Tournament has been set.  It is part of the Unang Tibok show to take place on Saturday, August 17th.  The venue is the Brawl Pit Bulusan beginning at 6pm.

 

Main Maxx will take on El Kapitunero in one of the four matches in the first round of the tournament. The winner of the tournament will become the inaugural Pusong Pinoy Wrestling Championship.

 

In order for a wrestler to win, he or she must win three matches to win the prestigious belt. 

 

This match will definitely be a competitive one with the speed versus strength angle.  

 

Main Maxx has been a singles and tag team champion with a previous organization.  He is very experienced and is looking to add another title to his resume. 

 

El Kapitunero has wrestled the best that Pinoy Wrestling has to offer.  This blogger has seen him win in at his first show at the PETA Center in December 2022.  Am looking forward to the match-up.

Unang Tibok Update #2

Hello everyone!

 

PUSO Wrestling's first show, Unang Tibok will take place on Saturday, August 17th, a little over one month away.  The venue is the Brawl Pit Bulusan, Quezon City, beginning at 6pm.

 

So far, the main event and the Pusong Pinoy Wrestling Championship tournament has been announced.

 

The main event will feature the "Pinay Vixen", Chelsea Marie vs. "Mr. Philippine Wrestling" Jake De Leon.  This is a return match from last month's Filipino Wrestling Night, also at the Brawl Pit Bulusan.

 

The tournament for the inaugural Pusong Pinoy Wrestling Championship will feature eight wrestlers.  The pairings have not been set yet but have been named.  They are Isaiah Valencia, Joya, Main Maxx, El Kapitunero, Super P., Joey Rosas, Aaron Liwanag and Nigel San Jose.  It is assumed that there will be four - first round matches in the first round.  When the pairings are announced, this blogger will update everyone!

Hardcore Forever Update

There has been an update on one of the matches for the show.

 

Tanomsak Toba, a pioneer wrestler with DDT Japan will become part of, what's now, a Triple Treat Match.  It's SETUP Thailand Openweight Champion, Jonathan Johnson, Monomoth and Toba for the coveted belt.  This has the makings of being a superb main event!

Why No Interviews?

Recently, this blogger has been asked about why there hasn't been an interview done on this blog lately.  Will do my best here to answer this the best way possible.

 

First and foremost, there is a time difference from where I live in America to the Southeast Asia countries.  I would prefer, when visiting a country, to ask a possible wrestler and/or fan.  To me, its proper and I'm a little more comfortable doing it. 

 

Of late, there have been things that needed improving in the blog such as the content of the posts that are being delivered to the fans.

 

This blogger is hoping that on his next visit, that an interview or two will happen.  I cannot promise you, but there is a likelihood that it will happen.

Unang Tibok Update #1

Hello everyone!

 

The featured main event match at the inaugural Unang Tibok show will feature "Mr Philippine Wrestling" Jake De Leon versus the "Pinay Vixen" Chelsea Marie.

 

Both wrestlers are no strangers to each other.  In their last encounter, Chelsea Marie was accidentally cut at Filipino Wrestling Night and the match was stopped.  A rematch was set for Saturday, August 17th.  The venue is the Brawl Pit Bulusan in Quezon City beginning at 6pm.

 

Along with this match will be the First Round of the tournament that will determine the Pusong Pinoy Wrestling Championship.  Eight wrestlers have been selected for the tournament.  Soon, the matches will be made.  This blogger will have it for you as soon as they are set.

Finally, on a personal note, thank you to all the readers for supporting and reading this blog.  This week, in particular, the PUSO Wrestling posts have been read (at least looked at).  The PUSO Wrestling First Show! post soared like crazy and is currently the number one read.  It appears that besides Filipinos, other countries are reading this as well.  This blogger's audience is becoming  more world wide. 

I'm definitely appreciative of what wrestling fans are reading here.  Sometimes, the posts are a bit long and am trying the best to shorten them and still provide info and quality.  If there's something that needs improving, please FM me and I'll listen.  This blogger wants this to be the best wrestling blog in Southeast Asia today, tomorrow and as long as I'm alive.

MYPW: Fight Back Show Update #2

Hello everyone.

 

There has been a match added to Malaysia Pro Wrestling's show, Fight Back.  The event will take place on Saturday, August 3rd at the Kuash Theater TTDI beginning at 6pm.

 

MYPW's team, The Juicy Boyz (The Wonderboy and Miles Karu) traveled to Vietnam to take part in an earlier Vietnam Pro Wrestling show.

 

This time, the Saigon Hunters (Rocky Huynh and Sid Nguyen) will travel to Malasyia to face Malaysia's best in an International Tag Team match.

VPW: The Rumble Update #3

Hello everyone!

 

There has been an added match for Vietnam Pro Wrestling's show, The Rumble.  The event will take place on Saturday, August 17th at 7pm.  The location is the VAIB Studio D7.

 

Chino Guinto, a wrestler from the Filipino Pro Wrestling promotion, will take on Xiumin Long in an international showdown.  This will definitely be one great match.

MKW Championship Supercard Update #1

Hello everyone!

 

Middle Kingdom Wrestling will be holding their next, and premier show soon.  MKW Championship Supercard From Shanghai will take place on Saturday, September 14th beginning at 7pm.  The venue is the Bandai Namco Shanghai Base.

 

Here are the lineup of matches and confirmed entries for the show as of Friday, July 12th.

 

Yuki Kamifuku (C) vs. Crystal for the SPW Queen Of Asia Championship.

The Slam (C) vs. Chen Wenbin for the MKW World Championship.

Wangtao (C) vs. Benji vs. Gaoyuan.  I'll check but I believe it is for the Belt And Road Championship.

 

Also, Zombie Dragon, the MKW Tag Tam Champions - Badboys, Sunny Z and Franco Varga have confirmed that they will be appearing at the show.  There are more wrestlers that will confirm in the days ahead.

VPW: The Rumble Update #2

Hello everyone!

 

There has been an additional match made for Vietnam Pro Wrestling's next show, The Rumble.  It will take place on Saturday, August 17th.  The venue is the VAIB Studio D7 beginning at 7pm.

 

Rensho of Venomshank will be in singles action against "The Hunbelievable" Benji.  

 

Rensho, I believe, has wrestled in singles competition before.  Definitely, he has done very well in tag team competition with his twin brother and were VPW Tag Team Champions.

 

I remember watching Benji on video when he was a part of Oriental Wrestling Entertainment when the group was wrestling outside China during the pandemic.  He is the real deal in the ring.
